Meet the Derby's Pet Fence Staff
Derby's Pet Fence is a local company that is not associated with any national franchise or dealership. We have a well-trained staff that has extensive experience in the proper methods of installation and training of your dog. Our installers are put through extensive training before they are certified to work on your property.
Since you are considering trusting us with the safety of your pet, we thought you might like to meet us first. Here is a little information on the people that will help you provide freedom and safety for your pets.
Steve is the owner of the company and the guy that is likely the one you will speak to when you call. He has 3 children in the Shelby County school district, has lived in the Louisville area since 2001 and can't imagine ever living anywhere else. He has several pets at home, including Derby, the one the company was named after.
After 18 years in the corporate world as a Human Resource professional, he turned his love of dogs and a desire to be a small business owner into a reality in 2005. He has enjoyed successfully training thousands of dogs to stay safely in their yard
Ryan works in sales but loves the great outdoors and Dogs. He was Derby's first employee and has worked for Derby’s for 10 years. He just bought his first house in Lagrange and hopes to get a Dog and a Derby's fence after he gets married in April 2016.
Denise is our Office Manager. Denise is married with 2 boys. She also has a cat that has ruled the house for the last 18 years.
Denise enjoys spending her time with family and running her boys from one activity to another. Denise joined Derby’s in 2012.
Kris is also a Firefighter/Paramedic for the city of Lexington. He grew up in Oldham County and he and his wife have settled in Taylorsville. He was graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Police Administration. Kris is an Eagle Scout and enjoys camping, hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking. His schedule with the fire department allows for him to work part-time with Derby's and he can continue to stay busy outdoors and work with dogs. His dogs Maggie (yellow Lab) and Chewy (Jack Russel) are happy to see him when he gets home.
Kris joined Derby's in 2011 so he can work with dogs and stay outside as much as possible.
